Terramycin Eye Ointment - 1/8 oz

Antibiotic Ophthalmic Ointment with Polymixin B Sulfate treats primary and secondary eye infections in small and large animals. Bright yellow in color, it is one of the most versatile of broad-spectrum antibiotics and is effective in treating infections due to bacteria. Contains 5 mg of Terramycin per gram.

When using Terramycin, make sure to flush the dog's eye out first with an eye flush or plain water. Remove all debris first. After removing any debris, pull the lower lid of the eye down on the dog for the eye that is affected. Place a small thin line of Terramyacin in the lower lid of the affected eye. Release the lid and rub gently to disperse the medication.

For use in dogs, cats, and horses.

How it Works:

One of its main ingredients, oxytetracycline, works by blocking the ability of bacteria to produce proteins which helps them to grow and multiply.

Cautions:

Do not touch the tube opening to any surface including eyes or hands. This medication may cause blurred vision. Avoid using other eye medications unless approved by your veterinarian. Prolonged use of this medication may result in a serious bacterial or fungal infection.
