The PetSafe Deluxe Outdoor Bark Control House - Ultrasonic features a programmable digital timer that can be set to turn the unit on and off at designated times, much like an alarm clock.
Built with an internal microphone, the unit is triggered by barking within range and emits an ultrasonic sound that is inaudible to most humans, akin to a dog whistle. The sudden high-frequency noise startles the dog and helps them associate their barking with the sound, ultimately curbing their behavior.

Expert Tips for Optimal Usage:
- Place the unit no higher than 5 feet from the ground and face the front towards the dog
- Avoid any large objects between the device and the dog, as the sound may not travel well through fences, trees, or walls
- For safety, do not use this bark control device on deaf or hard of hearing dogs, as they will not respond to the ultrasonic tone
- Remember to turn off the device when not in use to prevent desensitization
- For larger areas, consider adding additional units.
