Our Brass Dog Collar Name Plates are customizable and laser-engraved for long-lasting visibility.

The purpose of dog collar name plates is to ensure your pup gets home safe, no matter where they roam. But what you put on that collar is entirely up to you! Our customizable dog collar name plates have space for up to three lines of information, like your name, your dog’s name, your address, and your phone number. You can be as creative as you’d like—but we recommend sticking with these details for ease of return.

How to order your custom brass nameplate:

1. Choose to add rivets, if needed (no extra charge). Our durable brass rivets make it easy to attach your name plate to a leather, beta, dayglo, or nylon collar. 
   
   
2. Choose to leave the nameplate blank or add your custom text. If you’ll be engraving your own nameplate, leave it blank. Choose “Yes - engrave nameplates” to add your custom text.
   
   
3. Enter your custom text. Use the three Nameplate lines to add up to 18 characters of text, including spaces. Leave one line blank if you’d only like two lines of text.
   
   
4. Choose your quantity. Enter the total number of nameplates you’d like to order.

Custom text options:

We laser-engrave every nameplate in-house using our highly precise engraving machine and custom-made nameplate holder. This allows us to engrave a significant number of plates in each session with detailed precision.

Our nameplates can hold up to 3 lines of text. Each line can hold up to 18 characters, including spaces. 

Our engraving machine can laser the following characters:

• Letters A-Z
  
• Numbers 0-9
  
• Special Characters / - . , ' & @ $ # ( ) : ! " _ * + =

How to attach your custom brass nameplate to your dog collar:

If your collar isn’t pre-punched for an ID plate, or if you’re adding a second ID plate:

1. Lay the collar flat and place the brass nameplate where you’d like it to attach. Use a marker to dot where the rivets should go. 
   
   
2. Make holes for the rivets.
   
   
   1. For leather, beta, or Dayglo collars, use an ice pick, leather punch tool, or hammer and nail to make the holes.
      
   2. For nylon collars, use a soldering iron, heated nail, or heated ice pick to carefully melt the holes, which will help prevent the nylon from fraying. 
      
      
3. Line the plate up over the holes. Push the stud of the rivet up through the back of the collar, out towards the front. Put the crown over the stud, so the flat side is facing the front of the collar.
   
   
4. Place the collar on a hard, flat surface and use a hammer to gently tap the rivet together
